I've had two Jags now, love my FFRR but its not a Jag. there will be another Jag on my drive when I retire in 1yr 11months and 29days. Three things in a blokes life his dog,his car and a Cornish pasty, nothing else matters.

Followed an alloy XJ saloon in dark blue today - it looked very cool compared to the proliferation BM's, Mercs, Audis etc etc . . . .

Got me thinking again. Damn it . . . . !

Thumbs Up Where do you go after one of these . . . ?

Going to see it though. The Swiss hate high milers and they go very cheap, but there aren't many of them as most people don't drive that far. They also think that a 10 year old car which has 10km on the clock should sell for a nearly new price. Crazy.

Must resist. It's in Italy, but the Northern part, so not that far away. I'd have to pay 12% tax on top, but still seems good value for money and it's the correct colour apart from the wood on the dash.

Maybe I keep an eye on it.

This is also cheap, but the wrong colour, apart from bizzarely the dash. Confused

old jags.

had plenty of old jags in my time. i still mess about semi-restoring 60's jags. the old xjs looks better than it is really. everthing on them wears out and loose. Also, like all jags bar the x350 they rot out big time. even the dearest ones will rot. sometimes scarily. porous front subframes, chassis rails rusting from the inside out! Its true that the supercharged v8 saloons are the best value 'proper car' on the market, but they will be rusty too. -wheelarches go big time. just live with it. -and enjoy a £52k car for £2k

This is exactly the colour I want - dash and all - even the drug dealer wheels.

Think I'll wait till the spring though.

By the way, although the x350 doesn't rust they still have corrosion issues. It's more a paint problem than a structural problem though.
