Yet another EAS question

I have tried the search function before asking this.

My EAS will not lower to access mode or rise to off road height. There are no bongs or control check warning messages and the flashing indicator light on the control does activate but only for a couple of seconds and then stops.

The car has just returned from having the auto gearbox fluid and filter changed and a problem with the bonnet catches rectified. I only noticed the issue when I tried to lower the car whilst on the drive today. Other than that I have not noticed anything else detrimental so far about the EAS. I did check the off road view on the touch screen and all the wheels are 'level' when moving or stationary.

Any thoughts chaps?

Hmm, will the height change with the bomnet open under usual circumstances.....?

I wonder if the bonnet closure switch is not catching properly after having the new catches fitted..... It thinks its open and wont change height?

Just an idea. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

That thought crossed my mind as well. I'll wait until tomorrow morning, pop the bonnet, give it a good slam down and try the EAS again.
I can live with the car in standard height mode for now but would like the EAS to work fully. I'll update the thread tomorrow.

Think there are probably some rubber adjusters which maybe are holding the bonnet a bit high. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Chris - I had similar with my 06 MY Td6 when I first got it.
I can't remember the exact fix but believe it was something to do with a filter on the compressor being blocked. This compressor being different in design to the earlier models.
Perhaps worth a go ?

Thumbs Up Where do you go after one of these . . . ?

If it,s not the compressor filter but still a bonnet issue even after adjusting the rubber adjusters, can a iid tool reset the EAS back to normal so that I have the access and off road heights?

EAS back to normal. It was the bonnet not closing properly.
End of thread.

Useful to know that the bonnet blocks/locks the EAS (even thought the tailgate doesn't - like it did on the P38A)

Where is the switch on the closing plate? .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink

Unfortunately J90 No.2 cant assist the real Joe90. I just popped the bonnet and gave it a good slam down and it seemed to cure the problem Smile
