Hi guys,

Silly problem really but it's frustrating the hell out of me.
I've noticed I'm getting some water in my boot well, so I stripped off the boot seal that goes around the car and under the tailgate flap. Condition is ok but I'll order a new one just to be sure. However I'm trying to place the old one back on, until the new one arrives. And every time I get to the end of the fit I'm left with about four inches of spare seal... Do these fit one way only or has it stretched or am I being a complete mong?

Try fitting with a hide hammer or similar to ensure it goes RIGHT in to the corners and edges on the seams. .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember

I've bashed it into place now with a rubber mallet, then washed the car. No leaks so far fingers X'd that may have sorted it out. Bushy
