France 2006 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Java Black

Stan, you are absolutely correct.

For my everyday photos that will be attached to e-mails or forum posts I use my wife's Nikon bridge camera. The IQ is perfect for the web and family photos up to A4. Because I was schooled in manual film cameras I can utilise it's various settings to get what I want. So why carry around a DSLR for that type of photography.

However for 'my' photographic day outs, sports and rural events I will take my full DSLR gear and lenses because they are the images I will try to sell so the IQ has to be spot on. I just don't understand the Canikon bandwagon. If you are not going to print out anything bigger than A3 or spend serious money on upgrading your lenses so that you can sell your photos, there are some excellent bridge on mirror-less systems out there and there are some excellent non Canikon DLSR combos out there as well. Obviously Pentax, Olympus & Sony need to advertise more.

United Kingdom

my outfit consists of a fuji sl1000 which has a 'nice to have' 50x zoom...

if buying a bridge then a evf is a must, you cant rely on a monitor to take pics.. ... - .- -.

New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Galway Green

I notice that since we have the D7000, we take a lot of photos like it is a small consumer camera, despite it's weight and bulk. With the kids that is great because if we do get this "perfect shot" we can actually do a lot with it.

Plus we like to travel a bit on our vacations and the big DSLR is very handy there. Look forward to going to Kruger park with the D7000 and 70-300 Nikkor on it Smile

For the "normal" stuff we have the phones, my S3 does really well and my wife just got a S4 Zoom. We considered getting a Galaxy Camera but that is another thing to lug around (does quite good shots though) and the S4 Zoom seems to be pretty close in performance.

I think that I don't mind lugging around the big camera. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black

Though i do like my nikon kit i really dont use it all that much, it is mostly used by swmbo for taking marketing shots for her etsy page, i have just bought a sony dsc-hx50 for general use. It seems to take decent pictures and has a 30x optical zoom which is good for taking up close pics of buildings, handy for up close shots of flashings to chimneys or missing tiles. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

+1 for Pentax

My dad bought one in the mid-60s. It's still going strong, and takes fantastic photos whenever we bother to put film in it.
