United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Zermatt Silver
bluetooth problem - any ideas?

Gents

the vehicle in question is a 2007 TDV8

Normally bluetooth operation is seemless and I've never really thought about it. However, this last weekend, my phone wouldn't hook up and it definitely seemed to be an issue at the car end rather than the phone end.

Being an electronics simpleton, I decided the only way I was going to fix this was by resetting the system by removing and replacing an associated fuse. The manual pointed to Fuse 22 which, interestingly, is also shared with the TMC system on the SatNav. I noted that TMC on the SatNav display permanently had a red line through it indicating that it was non-operational. Just maybe I was on to something!

Removing the fuse showed that it was not blown so I simply replaced it and - believe it or not - the bluetooth connection worked immediately! I noted, however, that TMC still has the red line...

Since this event, bluetooth has generally been working but the connection between car and phone has occasionally dropped at random - something that has never happened before. Also TMC refuses to cooperate.

I've searched the forum extensively and found nothing on this. Can anyone explain what is going on and point me towards a permanent fix?

Many thanks in advance and seasonal greetings to all!

When I first got my SC, I had the same problem, which I eventually traced to the TMC antenna being unplugged. How or why that was the case, I'll never know, but once it was plugged back in, all was well! Thumbs Up Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
