Mariana Black

I am currently deciding on my final spec for my L405 and was originally going to have Santorini black again but I am now considering Mariana black to be slightly different. I saw Mariana in a showroom recently and liked it. It looked completely black except when the light caught it and then you could see the blue fleck. I am concerned though as I have not seen one in daylight in this colour. Has anyone seen Mariana black in the daylight? Does it look properly black unless in direct sun? Any views appreciated.

There is one near me and I would describe it as blue, it's a very dark blue but it's still blue - unless it's filthy and then it looks black Laughing I think it's a great colour btw Thumbs Up 2021 P400 Silicon Silver AB

Yes, I thought it was like carbon black but then I saw one down the road from me yesterday on a dull day and it just looked like dark blue all over which I didn't like that much. I am not sure whether this may have been Loire Blue though which I believe is dark as well.

Mariana is an old colour, it was on the run-out Westminster in 2009. I loved the colour then when out in the sunshine: Black but with a hint of sparkling Blue, hence the name, after the Mariana Trench. It's very hard to photograph, but I liked it back then. The caveat I would add is that I think that the majority of L405s look far better in lighter shades, as they look a little less bulbous. But, hey, it's all personal preference I suppose!

Thanks for the pic. I like it. I just need to see one in the daylight before making a final decision.

yeah, best to see it in the flesh, try and find a used Westminster to get an idea perhaps, as I don't think there are many L405s in that colour around yet
