Seem to be filling up some websites stratstones has at the last count got 10 on PH's , actually thought they would have sold by now as they have been there for a good few weeks .......

Are they too pricey or not worth the extra , or are people waiting off for the new 2012 L405 Model ...

Personally not sure it's THAT good to justify buying when we all know the new 2012 is on the way, which is a complete redesign with cutting edge tech. Depreciation could be rather heavy in two years (when I hope to get one).

Of course it's better than the old TDV8, but it's not like the jump up from the Td6 to the TDV8 in 2006 which was quite big in terms of refinement and power. It's only fractionally faster and smoother and the saving on fuel will be more than rubbed out by the heavier depreciation compared to one a couple of years older.

Well that's my view anyway. I thought about it... and bought a 2008 as it seemed more financially sensible.
Can live without a dash screen for the dials for a couple of years.

But not everyone has limited finances, so I'm sure they'll sell.

I'm in agreement with Fox.

Waiting for them to hit £35k before I pounce.

I imagine most people looking to 'upgrade' will be waiting for the new model. -Michael

If Autocars mock up is anything to go by , Think i could possibly wait for the 2012 version .........

Having looked at the 4.4 TDV8, I too am going to wait until the prices fall to £40k ish for a used which may be sooner than you think.

Although a new model is tempting in 2012, I think the price will put me off (maybe)

3 years ago before the crunch 12month old cars could be bought for around the £40k mark, and several dealers were offering £10k off new 4.2 supercharged vehicles 06MY but 07 reg

3-5 years suits me just fine.

I'm in no rush to have the latest and greatest.

Hopefully, by then, all the common faults, niggles and issues will either be sorted, or easily rectified by one of the guides on here.  -Michael

Gaz probably knows better as he is in the trade, but I can't see it myself.
The new model will be out with lower running costs/emissions and we won't have the current problem where there is a shortage of two/three year old ones due to the credit crunch which seems to have pushed prices up.

Only sticking point could be how expensive the new one is. If it starts at 80k+ people may hold onto the older ones.
