inlet manifold cleaning...

hi everyone
I'm after some help and i'm hoping one of the members have covered this issue before and can direct to a link on the wiki....right here goes
after doing the by pass on my e.g.r valve which has made incredible changes in both fuel and throttle response i'm now planning to go one step further and clean out all the carbon built up around and the inlet manifold on my T.D 6,iv'e bought all the new seals at a cost of £77.00 from dealership in west London,i'm sure plenty on here has done the clean out before ,all i'm asking is how long did it take, what to look for,any difficult obstacle that's likely to prolong the procedure, been given silly quote by my local dealership in the hundreds to do this work so i'm going in alone, all help is very much appreciated..
Bow down
steve

It's a straight forward job, nothing difficult about it. Expect to look like a coal miner when you're finished Shocked Laughing Laughing

you wasn't wrong about the job being so damn straight forward, simple case of taking out the middle row of 11 m.m nuts, the top row of 10 m.m nuts and the two brackets one of which is the dip stick casing and the other is the breather hoses at the back end and a simple case of lifting the inlet housing off the engine,,,viola.!! however things change from being simple to being that of a messy affair, ended up having a face like that of sterling moss back in the days of motor grand prix...weather today was spot on so all done and sweet as.. Thumbs Up
