Goodbye FFRR....

After a year in an SC and two in a 4.4 TDV8, today I will be leaving the family Sad I've had three years of driving what is still the best all round car on the road that has been without any mechanical issues (apart from the dealers!)

I only keep my work car until the warranty expires and then change, but this time I have had a real dilemma.....what to buy next. My first choice would be the L405, but at £100k, I cannot justify the initial cost for a high mileage work horse that it will be. I'm hoping in two years time things will be different and I will be able to pick up an ex demo at a reasonable price.

A sad day to see my old faithful go, even though my new car will be waiting for collection. Big Cry

Oh, and SWMBO is test driving an Evoque this morning, so we may keep a baby RR in the household Smile

I'll be selling dog guard and mats etc, so watch this space. Current MY2020
Gone: 1 x L405 and 2 x L322's

It's never nice moving on when you dont really want to. The shape of the L405 has really won me over now but the price is still OTT. What car are you picking up? Previously..

@ Mick. I will stick around the forum as I fully intend to be back in an L405. Plus I would miss your warped sense of humour!

Went to buy the Evoque this morning, arrived at the dealers and they had sold it, even though they knew we were going to come in a put a deposit down! My feelings for LR dealerships can not be printed!! I have not had one good experience in LR ownership.

So, went on to collect my new motor...

Until last week, I would have not have considered a Cayenne, but I'm glad I was persuaded to have a look. The quality is superb and it drives so well. I will not try to compare it with the FF, because they are two different cars. Panoramic roof, auto boot open/close, seats that hug, great satnav. If you ever get the chance to drive the 2013MY, give it a go, you may be surprised. Current MY2020
