I think your problem is deeper than the tailgate open? The bulb in there is only 5 watt - if 20 minutes of that is flattening your battery you have a problem elsewhere?? Shocked

2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

when I open the tailgate there are 2 in the tail itself and 1 in the boot area, then the ones in the car roof that come on plus the sat nav screen as I'd have unlocked the car....granted the ones on the car go off but the 3 in the boot are 5w each.

Car now been on charge and digi charger reading 14.4v so am going to give it 2 days on charge but source a battery anyway to be safe. Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

It's closed Rolling Eyes

I will be getting a battery sorted, even after almost 24hours on charge it doesn't sound a strong starter in fairness... Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

Now what you need to do is change the tailgate and boot lights to LED. Wink
And for that matter all the other bulbs inside the car.

Did the whole of the inside, I can't remember where I bought them from I'm afraid, although it was ebay.
What you do need to do with the festoons is take any out you are going to replace and measure the actual length of each and order accordingly.
No canbus issues on the internal bulbs Thumbs Up

10 mins Shocked

Ok, here's my version !!

1. 20 mins for neg removal, then another 20 for pos removal
2. Bosch S5.....snug, Censored me that's an understatement...not seen that much vaseline since a german film I once saw in the 80's
3. 45 mins to juggle, file and modify the battery tray so it fits
4. total job time 2 hours - ish

It's on now, but it's not as straight forward as was implied....nevertheless, thanks chaps it's back to starting with a swift click !

Thumbs Up Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........
