Doing some maintenance on my TD6 I noticed when I started the engine some smoke came out of this pipe. It sits on the passenger side of the engine right down at the bottom of the chassis leg, cant say Ive noticed it before 
The motor started from a cold start with the 'pre-heat' displayed on the instrument panel and I went back to the engine bay and noticed a few plooms of smoke chuffing out of this small pipe, it cleared up relatively quickly and no more smoke came out the pipe. I have tried to find out what the pipe is in the workshop manual but Im at a loss ....
Does anybody know or able to work it out ?
