hi everyone,

i have got a leak coming in through the sunroof where the seal has come away from the sunroof glass which is resulting in getting some water in the boot round the spare wheel, nothing too serious as its not getting into the electrics.

the seal has become detached from sunroof glass, but apparently you have to buy the sunroof and seal together as opposed to a new seal as it comes as one complete part....

the question i have, is has anyone had this same problem and if so, how did you fix it?

any help appreciated and if anyone has a spare sunroof going i am in the market for one.... (its an 05 range rover)

Is it the furry seal? If it is then why not glue it back? If memory surves me right that fury seal doesn't stop all water, more of a dirt protector. The sunroof drains should deal with any water getting past unless you have a blocked drain? [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

If something can't be fixed with a hammer....... You have yourself an electrical fault!

I had water from the roof, last monts.
Initially I did not understand how he could go down within-
then reading, I knew the drain holes, which were closed due to too much dirt
there are two small pipes for each corner, that come under the side wings
I agree that the hairy seal, does not stop the water

Fuzzy seal there just to keep dirt/leaves/pine needles/etc out. It is NOT supposed to be waterproof. Whenever it rains, water will get in, then it SHOULD be channelled through the drain tubes. If drain tubes are working - no problems. Clean them out using a piece of plastic cord (as used in a weed wackier). Do NOT try to blow them clean using compressed air! Don't ask how I know this!

i have glued the seal back and am going to get a new piece of glass wi th the seal on it... i will check the drain holes too as recommended...
