On the way to work this morning there was a longer and more stationary traffic jam than normal (there's normally not much traffic), and then an ambulance went by. So I turned round and took a back route to the next motorway junction. When I got there no traffic at all was coming from the direction I would normally come from.

I think the law is you must have the appropriate tyres. So if it's a nice warm sunny day in November and you're on summer tyres that's ok. If you'd have been in that smash in that weather on summer tyres you'd be in trouble - and rightly so I think. It was 6:30am when the crash happened and it was dark then. I think whoever caused it was just driving too fast and hadn't realised there was snow on the road where there's a bend. Just supposition though. |

On the inside lane you'd probably be ok, but not on the outside. |
