Gearbox banging?

Hi, looked at a range rover today and when i went to accelerate while pulling away there was a bang, felt like it jumped out of gear. Drove fine the rest of the time, nice and smooth, no slipping, bad changes, etc. Trying to replicate the problem it would only happen when the steering wheel was turned left or right and hard acceleration, absolutely fine accelerating normally

Any ideas?

Dont want to buy a lemon....its a 52 4.5 v8 130k

thanks

I mean accelerating hard in a straight line was fine, and accelerating normally with the wheel turned left or right was fine, just hard accelerationg with wheel tuned either direction if that makes sense?

Front Driveshaft probably. Either needs replacing or the warranty change to the newer flexible coupling not done?
