Still not got it back, been in the dealers since monday.... Not due back until weds next week!

Anyway whilst its away ive been trying to find any way of quieting the slightly tappety noise under light acceleration.

ITs done it since ive had it and hasnt got any worse. But was wondering if there is anything to be done about it.... The engine in the disco seems quieter, given that it is just a shorter version of the tdv8 there should be some way of quietening.

Not managed to find much as yet.

Anyone managed to quieten it down? There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

how many miles have you done?
does it need a Flush+ oil change?
what oil + viscosity is in the engine?
last week i had the Terraclean procedure done, def better but the next day the rear caliper seized.going to fix tomorrow 2011 4.4 TdV8 Nara Bronze

Yep mines a bit rattley too, runs fine, just completed Skye and back to Lancashire with SWMBO via a winding route must have been over 1000mls stopping in various hotels along the way.
She never missed a beat and so I'm in love again - SWMBO never stopped complaining, particularly during overtaking manoeuvres, so no change there  Geoff

Sounds normal then,

Its approaching 60k, and is currently full of whatever the dealer puts in, probably castrol 5w40.
Was thinking possibly could do with a bit of injector cleaner through it, possibly a trrraclean. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Just another quick thought... Your not missing a bung in your bulkhead/firewall are you? We find them missing often and the owners always ring and comment on just how quiet there car is now

Where would I be looking for that? Apart from the bulkhead obvoiusly
