Who has ordered a PS4 ?

Just wondered out of you folks, if you are a console gamer, are you planning on going down the Sony or Microsoft route for next gen ?

I've has PS1, PS2 and PS3 - full fat and sport, sorry slim.

I did figure that as the PS4 was unlikely to be backwards compatible, there would be nothing lost looking at the XBOX One.

In the end, after watching Sony's E3 showing, I ordered a PS4........ 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

I'm thinking about ordering one. I'll never buy a Xbox as I'm a Sony fan all day long.

Sony all day long, just told the wife the new one's cheaper than the original ps3 , she didn't seem too fussed. Definately getting one.

I have a hankering to put a Solid State Drive into the PS4 when I get it, as I feel Sony missed a trick. Prob a cost thing.

The 500GB disk in the unit is swappable like on the PS3.

I'm just not sure whether it needs to be powered on out the box with the original disk in first. More details will come out nearer launch I'm sure.

Have ordered GTA 5, but not GT 6, as waiting for that on PS4.

Pre-ordered Watch Dogs, but if its not available on launch day, may end up with Killzone........ 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

I will be getting a PS4, i got the the PS3 the very first day it came out and its still going strong its one of the chunky original 60gb ones with the 4 usb's at the front and all the memory card slots under the front flap. Cant wait for the PS4 though. Will try and buy a awesome TV at same time. 2003 Range Rover HSE 3.0 TD6

A solid state drive is like a massive USB flash drive.

It has no moving parts, so runs quieter and cooler and is faster than a conventional hard drive, so will speed things up a bit.

Will have to see what connection the PS4 has internally, and then decide.

SSD drives are not particularly cheap, but cheaper than they used to be.
