Anyone know of a cheap site that does unlocking? Orange want £20 but I've found a site this morning that does them for £7.99. I don't think I'll get it any cheaper unless anyone knows different? |

The only way for an Iphone to be unlocked (4S, 5, 5C & 5S) is by the imei number been removed from the locked list on the Apple servers, then when you plug it iTunes and iTunes checks the imei number against the database it will recognise their is no simlock and allow any sim to work.

And that's exactly what I've done. It takes 2 to 3 weeks apparently so I can't port my number to the cheaper 3 sim till it's done. |

As posted the only correct unlocking process is though the original supplying network operator. This process can attract a fee dependant on your length of contract remaining and/or monthly spend.
