Slow to restart

After I have driven my RR for a while it is slow to restart - why?

All thoughts and suggestions of how to sort welcome.

Generally it's fuel pumps or injectors.

Thank you. I've replaced two fuel pumps over the past two months. One in the fuel tank the other at the rear - one left to replace in the engine?

Why not bung in some fuel system cleaner before you start on the injectors?

because the fuel cleaner is not going to fix the overflow issue
which is the most likely causing the starting problems

might be HPP problem as well however less likely

next step would be leak off test Thumbs Up

I had injector failure, but once it was running it ran ok on all 6 cylinders. It was just at the start that it didn't work. It also got progressively worse until it wouldn't start without easy start.

Injector cleaner may not fix it but the worst that can happen is you clean the other 5 injectors. It's the cheapest thing to try next.

On experience mostly
not to mention that magic potions spraying wd40 etc
is just a butchering prolonging failure of component
having nothing to do with actual fix

possibly
but if we will look at the problem as
difficult to start when hot (better on cold)
it may be inj overflow (so leak off test would give us some answers)

Not according to the many experiences of members on this forum, in the thread I referenced.

Who's mentioned wd40? Or even magic potions for that matter?

Stan, mine was terrible when hot. What was happening was the dodgy injector was de-pressurising the rail and sending the fuel back to the tank. Once it was up and running there was enough pressure to run ok. My only point is a cleaner may clear a blockage in an injector and is worth a try. If it doesn't then a leak off test is probably next port of call.

i understand
whats injector cleaner than in your opinion
technically approved solution

i am just trying to say if something is faulty needs a proper repair
not pouring chemical int the tank and prayer
