Rear window problem

My rear window (near side) wound itself down on its own today, and would not wind back up (switch unresponsive both drivers and door switch) later when I got home it returned Bach to normal and wound up. I assume loose connection somewhere any idea where to start looking? And if within the door cavity how do you remove the door card?
