bong.....

Oh dear, on the way to work the FF bongs me.....that dreaded ' trans fail safe prog' Big Cry Big Cry

I know there is a lot on here and the other l322 forums about it so will be reading a lot in the next few hours, but I guess I should get the FF plugged in to see what fault is showing before panicing, looks like a trip the stealer soon Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry

On my way home the message stayed up and locked in 4th, ( no D in display and wouldn't go in low box) drove ok but was careful, reversed in my space at home ( mirror didn't dip) turned her off, waited 2 min then restarted her and went for a short drive, it went up the gears smoothly no problem, when parked up low box was ok too! but that message is still there Confused If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

Check battery if fine I would do a hard rest leave disconnected as per wiki and see if that clears if not might need more investigation. Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

Will check battery tomorrow, but its a new battery fitted when I had that small issue a while back!

Mind I do small mileage but thought the alternator should cope, I don't always use all the electrics in the FF. Will give it a longer run to work tomorrow and see what happens. If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

Anything under about a twenty minute journey and you and up in negative equity with your batterie . Mine dropped to below starting point the other day with just a hand full of short runs and i'm now on a program of ten float charges to condition it back up to health . 2008 MY Supercharged

Well this morning I checked the battery before starting the FF, 12volts bang on, I charged the battery with trickle charge for a few hours before going out just in case. I also checked the load when lights and other electrical toys on to see if alternator was charging as it should, seem its fine as its charging between 13.2 to 13.9 volts.
Went to work and back via a shop, no bongs, not one Thumbs Up

Just hope it as easy as that, as reading last night about what does go wrong with the gear box trouble gave me nightmare's Laughing If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!
