SDV8 Driver Door Mirror Adjustment

I am unable to get sufficient vertical rotation on the door mirror glass to give me an acceptable height of field of vision to the mid to far distance. The dealer says there is nothing wrong with the mirror, as it is the same as another L405 they checked. I am not excessively tall (6'1") and don't sit with my head up against the roof. I do not deem it appropriate to lower my seat position to achieve the appropriate angle of view. Is anyone else having this problem? FFRR user since 1974. RR No. 10 (2021MY P525 delivered Nov 2020)

So when the mirror is set to the central position where does it point ? just because another one they have looked at is the same does not mean it's correct !

Also when the glass is fitted i wonder if it clips on to a cog gear ? so if glass is not central and gear not central when they put them together then you would have limited adjustment one way and mass of adjustment the other ? Far to many gone...

Apologies for tardy response, vehicle was off road at dealer. As far as I can ascertain the centre position has its focal point about 1 metre to the rear offside of the vehicle. At centre position when panned fully right I get the maximum distance in view to offside, but when I try to then pan up, to enhance height, it starts to involuntarily pan left at the same time. FFRR user since 1974.
