My new addition

Just collected our newbie; 5.0 SC AB just over three years old in Stornaway Grey with Almond leather and black lacquer. Trained it to Surrey and drove her the 140 miles or so home. She's absolutely lovely, the distributor was fantastic, and at an average of 63mph throughout the journey, achieved 25.1mpg. Photographs to follow in due course. So chuffed!

Would love to have a 5.0 SC. Big Cry Had a 4.2 in a 2006MY and was a great car. The 5.0 are immense cars.

Enjoy! Thumbs Up Very Happy

You're right of course: pottering around locally, now down to less than 23, but very happy all the same!

25mpg?

Are you having a Turkish?

If I drive like Miss Daisy on a long run I can just about see 20mpg but not for long.

Mostly I'm doing about 16.5mpg, however I DO like to 'charge about. Why have the 5.0 Supercharged 510BHP engine and pootle about not enjoying the wondrous engine? It's just SO bleeding lovely.

I emplore all of you, if you can get a drive in a 5.0 to see what it's like, do so, it is truly the best engine Land Rover have ever used. Thumbs Up Discovery 4 HSE
