Steering wheel lock sticking on a 2004 Td6 Vogue which meant it wouldn't send a signal to the Ignition barrel so key wouldn't turn. Found this on the web so decided to give it a go as owner has already been quoted £1,500 for replacement steering column .

15 mins to carefully drill hole, one squirt of a WD40 type fluid and 10 seconds later key turns in ignition. 20 mins putting key in and out and not once did fault reoccur.
Who ever discovered this is a genius !!

unfortunately this mod didnt work for me but fair play to them for going to the effort of working it out and posting it up for us all to learn from,sound bloke
