Stuck glove box lid 2005 car

All,

Does anyone know how to open one of these if it stuck.

Plenty of info around here and on the internet on how to get one to close if it won't close, but mine is stuck shut. Not locked, just the catch wont release.

I found one solution on an Australian website however I have no luck with this idea.

So does anyone know how I can get to the catch to get it to release?

TIA You are either at Le Mans or waiting for Le Mans

I'll bet you've trapped something between the latch and the locking mechanism. I did it once with a very thin piece of card and it took some very heavy wrenching to open it.

I have tried to force it, but don't want to force to hard so as not to damage the dashboard, it seems quite soft round that area.

I wouldn't bother to much but its obviously restricting access to the fuse box You are either at Le Mans or waiting for Le Mans

Thanks I shall give that a try.

I was wondering if maybe the cable had come off the catch? You are either at Le Mans or waiting for Le Mans
