Wheels opinion

Hi all , I am getting towards finishing repairing a damaged fullfat I bought and it will be 2010 facelifted when finished.
My p38 I am using now has 20 inch supercharged sport wheels on at present and the new car has 20 inch vogue wheels on.
I am not interested in pretending my car is a 2010 or indeed a supercharged model but cant help think it will need a newer looking rim to look right.
Is it just me ? should I stick with what I have available, I do like these . opinions please

Thanks Mick.

This is the wheels at present. I do like them but just cant decide if they are old looking now. Not that that's bad they are a classic RR wheel.

The ones first pictured are really nice but the ones on are too.
I use the ones you have on for the winter with A/T tyres on.

Just a thought Thumbs Up

the wheels on it are nice Mick, maybe a refurb and polish or a slight colour change to liven them up.I love the way they fill out the arches and look so solid, really suit the rangie

Mick, the wheels you have pictured loose are not FFRR wheels they are for a 2010> Sport... Confused

So are sport rims unsuitable for fitment on our vehicles ?
I suppose i never thought about sports being lighter than fullfat.

Thanks Mick.

RRS rims are 9.5j compared to the FF 8.5j meaning you would have to fit sport tyres because of the extra width...

sport rims/tyres fit ok on the fullfat but unless you get the correct size [wider] tyre then the speedo will be out..i had RRS wheels/tyres on my td6 for over a year without any problems..

to make your conversion look 'authentic' you should fit style 9 or style 11

mine, style 9

style 11,

Hi Stan, I do like the style 9 fitted to your car. How are they to clean ?

Mick.

mine havnt got that dirty mainly because of the very wet weather we have had but i should think they are no worse to clean than any other similar wheel..

Do not fit Sport rims on a FF, load rating it wrong !

Your 2002/06 20 inch rims are nice but will look off with the facelift, you should really opt for 2009/12 wheels, or maybe L405 20'' if you like them. there are some of each for sale by various members here.

You will be able to sell you RRS rims on the dedicated forum in an heartbeat at the right price Thumbs Up l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l

Just an update I was never sure about l405 wheels but couldn't resist when I saw a set on good old Ebay.
Apparently direct from overfinch covered 50 miles were for sale with make an offer I offered a cheeky one @ £700 and was accepted if paid cash.
Well happy with them tyres still have rubber bobbles on and wheels totally unmarked
