Hi all

Just wondered if someone could confirm the service intervals for a 2010 TDV8?

In the handbook its says to go off the service indicator but I have just had a phone call from the MD telling me it has been 12 months since my last service and it is due again?

Should it be serviced every 12 months regardless of the service indicator?

I have read through the service portfolio and it says "All services should be carried out at the distance or time based intervals(whichever occurs first) shown in the table"

Now if you look at the table, under Range Rover in every box it says "refer to your service Interval Indicator"

This is why the call from the MD has thrown me a little, because surely they should know??

So it seems like that with a 4.4 TDV8 Insp2 is due only after 100.000km?
Then next question could be is that what is covered in insp1 and in insp2?
Moreover somewhere I have seen a very detailed checklist for each inspections; Listing items in several categories like under bonnet, chassis, wheels, etc., and then broken down to every tiny detail what to check or do.
Does anybody have this type of detailed checklist for each service/inspection for a 2010-12 4.4 TDV8?

Yep.....

Recommended at 60,000 miles on the zf boxes if used for towing or 100,000 if gentle. 150,000 seems a bit long......

And diffs.....

And tfr box There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

The gm boxes on the early diesels need doing even more frequently. Hence the high failure rates.
