I think price difference is negligible. A good Indy will always provide a better service in my opinion than a main dealer. I find Indys tend to do a few extra bits without charging the extra and feel they are easier and more pleasant to deal with. Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

I dont think it matters as much anymore once car is maintained as per maufacturers guidelines and receipts are present I would be happy. I suppose it depends on age of vehicle . In Ireland it doesnt seem to affect resale value . Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

I think it all depends on the age of the car. Obviously during the warranty period, you would be mad to take a car anywhere else but a MD, but once it's out of warranty and getting on in years, I think the price differential between a MD and an Indy serviced car becomes less.

to the uninitiated, a MD stamp could be worth more as it may indicate that the owner has serviced it to the highest level, regardless of cost?

It depends on the Dealer, some are shocking and cut corners, others are thorough. I'm pleased with my dealer and have no cause to look elsewhere for servicing. Discovery 4 HSE

I think it is dependent on the dealer in question. I've dealt with good ones and bad ones |

I have to say, i have always found Hunters in derby service centre great, i compared their prices with the local indys on a few service items and also on having the tow electrics fitted to the disco and have found that they compare well.
