Air leak

My 10 year old L322 seems to be leaking air but I can't work out where from. The springs all appear ok and it's not dropping or sitting unevenly but after driving there definitely sounds like a leak when you get out. It's loud enough to hear from quite a bit away and seems to last over an hour after turning off the ignition.
Sounds like it's coming from somewhere on the drivers side about half way along the car.
I thought it's maybe a leak somewhere in the system but I can't locate it and can't understand why it isn't dropping.
Anyone any ideas?
Thanks.

theres an air tank where you say its leaking , maybe one of the connections has come off or the tank is leaking?

stick the FF in off road mode and have a look underneath.

Cheers Stan. I'll give it a go in the morning and report back.

Can be the connector-ventil under your driver door, look in RSW-Solutions on YouTube, there are the pipes to see, and the advices to dismount the shapes. Right. Found the leak and like you say Stan it was the air tank. It appears that mud has got trapped between the bracket for the side step and the tank and has corroded it away. Unfortunately I've made it worse whilst I was poking about.
So I'm now wondering is it worth trying to repair with Devcon or something similair or just sort it and be done.
Easy enough to do myself? And is it safe to drive in the meantime till I get it sorted.

Cheers.

The weird thing meerbusch is that it isn't losing height. Although we'll see now that I've made it worse!

I would think the compressor will be working full time to keep the reservoir with enough air to keep the system going.
I would say get it fixed ASAP to save the compressor. Previously..
