I want some of these!.

A new form of tyre which can convert mid-drive to deal better with snow has been unveiled.

The Finnish invention by Nokian relies on pop-out studs, which give the tyre more grip but can be hidden during normal use.

The firm behind it said that "it is possible to combine a studded and non-studded winter tyre" into one model.

"With a press of a button, the driver can bring out the studs to improve the grip of the tyre," said Matti Morri, Technical Customer Service Manager for Nokian Tyres,
