FF 2007 110k - Rear Upper Bushes

All,

Apparently the rear upper bushes are showing some signs of wear, although the MOT made no reference to them.....

Now those of you who know me will know that my "skills" stop at changing a fuse so I need to pay someone to do it. My LR Indy has invested in some kit which can change them in situ. The cost is £250 each side including OE parts, labour and VAT. I.e. £500 total.

I appreciate that they need to repay the investment but it felt a bit steep.

Any thoughts before I go ahead? 2006 4.2 SC

I just paid £300/side, which I thought expensive, so £250/side is probably a fair price.
These bushes have been advisories on my MOT for the last three years so I thought that I would get then done whilst having a new alternator fitted, brake pipes replaced as well as a service and MOT
Others may have different experiences. Geoff

Geoff,

Many thanks. Can you tell any difference? Does it feel a bit tighter? 2006 4.2 SC

I can't really feel any difference but there appears to be less rattle, but that might just be my imagination, apparently my £300 included top and bottom bushes each side. Geoff

I've just picked my car up from its service and MOT.

As per other MOT thread, the rear bushes were replaced. They charged me £300 for both. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Skot, I'm inclined to think my Indy would be very competitive for you; but you are a bit outside their area.
I'm happy for you to drop your lump off at mine for them to collect to bring you in line with their area
why not give them a ping and see what they say?
I have only found them to be excellent
