How does the Dension iPod link work

I found the Dension iPod connector at the back of the glovebox in my 2006 S/C.

I connected my iPod and cannot work out for the life of me how it works. I had a search and cannot see any hints.

Please help as I have not bought any CDs for years! Many thanks guys... 4.2 Supercharged Vogue SE

Pictures might help us , after much research on here it has been discovered that the Denison Gateway doesn't work on the FullFatt and it has to be the LR dedicated kit plus it usually mounts up front .
Is it the type that splices into the radio arial cable ? these are rarely better than the FM transmitter type . 2008 MY Supercharged

If at all it should work via the cd changer input on the screen afaik, the lr kit is basically a special dension kit, but the standard gateway doesnt work with the most architecture of the car. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Thanks guys, this is a picture of what I have within the glovebox, but no clue how to activate it. It has an Apple connector, a USB and a box for 2 phono plugs with a switch.

I plugged in my iPod yesterday and could not see any clues on the CD Changer screen (although had not see the other box at the time).

Any help gratefully received Thumbs Up 4.2 Supercharged Vogue SE

To be honest, I only spotted that box lurking at the back when I took the photo as the iPod lead was in the front....

Just switched it on and now working perfectly thanks via the CD screen - what a result Thumbs Up 4.2 Supercharged Vogue SE

Great result. When I enquired the LR version was about £600 and still had limitations with big libraries and needed you to set up playlists which was the main reason I didn't spend the cash There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t

Yes it would have been retro fitted in any FF... i.e. Dealer fit option Thumbs Up

The paperwork state's they fit from an 07my> i.e. the facelift interior, but in reality they fit all touchscreen models (as they all have the same electronics, plugs etc etc) albeit in a different place/configuration... Thumbs Up

Wish I could find one in my glove box! I enquired of a couple of ICE types as to fitting a new one who replied that it would cost £600+ to fit... Crying or Very sad

Hi John, mine is located in the glovebox just under the CD Changer. Apparently an official accessory but quite expensive to fit if you do not already have it…. 4.2 Supercharged Vogue SE
