I'm always really surprised with some folks leave a whopping great hunk of iron for a nimble sporty number. Is it because the RR appeals to ppl who don't need a towcar, offroader, big lump....

If I changed to Porsche like that I'd need to have something 'normal' for shopping and doing all the things the RR does as the norm..

Nice bus a 911 though...

I used to have an Audi S6 with the V10 5.2 engine prior to getting into the FF. It had the best of both worlds; performance and a decent sized boot. To be honest, I don't use the Porsche as a daily. I have a 2007 Mondeo TDCI that I use for my mundane day to day stuff. I just use the Porsche for high days and holidays Smile

King Pleb, thanks for putting me onto Vince. You and he are true gents!

KP you already have the decent daily drivers with the green blood Smile So what is stopping you to get a nice porker (fixer upper maybe) as the FF is still offline (or not ??).

Like the Porker very much (yours Andy, it looks brilliant), never even drove one but will definitely try one (preferably on a track)when I get a chance some day. I just stick to the FFRR plus motorbikes for now Smile

Good luck and hope you decide to dump the Mondeo for a FFRR, then you truly have the best of both worlds Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Ahh Eugene my fleet has been planned out and will slowly take shape over the next few months I hope, downsizing of the fleet to 3 instead of the current 4 I have Smile

sometimes i regret having sold her : no car (even my beloved RR) was so comfortable, the smoothness of the ride was unreachable...

I'm kind of spoilt as I have an XM 2.5td estate for comfort and general grunt work and the activa for just having a hoot! I'm starting to get the hang of the 4wheel drift on the quiet back roads near the airport that no one uses Smile I don't think the cheap tyres currently on it will last long at this rate! FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

A DS would be a nice car in the collection but their prices are just going up all the time unless you find a real project one that you can invest a few years in resto work Sad FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

I think it would cost a fortune now : it was extremely complicated, tricky to set up and 'frenchy' designed....

My problems begun when the mechanic I had moved to germany.

The official Citroen (in 1980) never reached that skill : mine Pallas was semi-automatic with the 2,3 injection : the fine tuning for the ensemble clutch/throttle/injection was a real hightmare...

..but when in tune on the highway was like a boeing...

Like any hydro citroen it can't be rushed when it comes to setting it up right and too many garages cba so just say it's too complicated and palm the job off, hence why the specialists are often booked up far in advance compared to normal garages.

The activa leans a smidge to the drivers side and that is going to be a Censored to even out with only two drive on ramps to use! FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

What!!! Shocked The cool Citroëns are back with their siren call again! Banging Head

(And for some reason the iPad knows how to automatically put the two little dot thingies in the name. I have NO idea where I'd find those unless I switched the languages in Settings.)

Kingpleb,
Yes, they are. I've already seen some gorgeous XMs on here before which are hard to resist. I don't really know anything about the Xanthia, but the XM and DS are hard to resist.
