I read this thread and only decided to post when the finger was pointed at "most drivers" as that must include the majority of people who, for example, are on this forum. It's a minority as ever that cause the problem. I'm a cyclist and on any given ride hundreds of cars pass me and I don't notice them- its only one or two that do it in a dangerous or inconsiderate manner that I notice. |

As a horse rider I am confused why you would want to wear headphones...apart from the apparent lack of awareness surely the whole point of hacking is to 'get away' from the hustle and bustle of normal life and enjoy the countryside for what it is; peace and quiet with the sound of hooves and the countryside without raging music blaring in your ears....

It's not the activity, it's ignorant morons engaging in them. There are still (unbelievably) 2 brain cell idiots in 4x4's trying to drive the Plains despite more than a few flood warnings and clear signage stating certain parts are closed.

Our horses seem have no problem with cyclists [a lot of them over here], if fact we use a cycle for confidence when taking the young ones out on there own. |
