It no start!

So, spent a great day on Sunday using the wonderful Gap IID (BT) tool reconfiguring the CCF to switch off the key in ignition 'bong', set the lazy lock to on and alarm bleep on and then she goes and dies Big Cry Turn the ignition and just get a 'click'. Called out Green Flag, who attach the Battery booster and hey presto she fires up. Green Flag Bloke reckons the starter solenoid is sticking as the battery is only 2 months old and giving out 14.7v. Any ideas? Rolling Eyes SDV8 AB MY 2019

Had your battery gone flat after playing with IIDtool all afternoon? It can happen. Otherwise as GFM says, possibly.

When is it giving out 14.7 volts - is that with the engine running? (in which case it would be the alternator!) .

Hi J90, giving out 14.7v with the engine off. The reconfig via IID was with the engine on until the writing to CCF that requires the ignition in Pos1. So I think the prob is more mechanical than electronic. FF's, they are a pain in the Censored but you gotta luv 'em. SDV8 AB MY 2019

Yep Stan, did all that as per the IID instructions. I don't think it is a problem related to the IID, just an unhappy coincidence. Off to the garage this morning so I'll post an update later.....Oh and I need my air suspension dryer unit replaced...happy days! SDV8 AB MY 2019
