Probably the fairly common issue of low battery voltage especially if the RR is not used very often or for short trips.

I have had this plaguing me for the last few years. can only put it down to battery not being at completely top voltage, which is obviously required for this system check on startup. It is worse in the winter when colder. Would love to turn this check off (take note GAP), only other solution is to plug the Ctek in every night |

Standard. Battery starting to go. It'll last about a year before you start becoming the best friend of the RAC. |

The 'bong' had been annoying me for months on & off. Weather getting colder and me using the FBH more then the 'bong' would shout at me more often so off with the old battery and on with the new Bosch..... HDC inactive 'bong'.... Gone |

I've not used the FF since Saturday (It did a trip of 200miles before going on the driveway and was sweet..)

You need to turn the steering lock to lock (Turn al the way to the left, then all the way to the right, then back to centre, this will clear all the "light faults". You need to do this whenever you disconnect the battery (or it goes flat!). .

I was wondering if this might be the cause of my latest woes.

I am certainly not an expert, but given you only get an error on right hand full lock, perhaps the steering angle sensor could be the source of the error
