F1. Two Union Jacks in 2nd and 3rd out of what, 24 drivers? Only two of them from the UK.
Germans by contrast have something like six drivers. So we did well overall. Smile

As for the football... well I've never seen the point really. But if we can't even beat Algeria it's not a good sign is it? Rolling Eyes

They did a good job on the FFRR though. Thumbs Up

And I've got German family visiting next weekend! Laughing

its wasn't just me then! I noticed that too Confused .

I always thought the point was that to play and represent England you had to be just that - ENGLISH or BRITISH!

If I was a sports person there is no way I would ever consider representing another foreign country - heaven forbid the humiliation Mad

Probably the reason a lot of the players aren't actually English is 'cos we don't have any world class players any more, as was demonstrated by the Cameroon quality sqad we sent.. To be honest, we might as well have sent the Plymouth Argyle squad. Come to think of it, based on the performance I reckon we did Very Happy

As for the Italian coach, we all know his English isn't so hot.....can you image the conversations between him & Steven Gerrard Rolling with laughter English is one thing but broad Scouse is quite another Rolling with laughter

Roll on the Rugby World Cup. Thumbs Up

Or the 20/20 IPL Cricket. Proper exciting stuff that. Mr. Green
