mk4 SAT NAV- Can't turn off speed cameras

I used to be able to turn the camera alerts on and off, but I no longer can. I can't remember whether this is a feature of the map disc or the V.32 software.
I have changed the map disc previously and reloaded the firmware as it locked up on me.
I may have inadvertently loaded a different disc.

Anyone know if its a map feature or the firmware?

Only have the original v32 firmware myself, but I believe the speed cameras are points of interest on the modded firmware. Could be wrong...

Do you have to set the system to notify you when you are near those points of interest ?..... Or not...... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

It used to show "on/off" in the config menu. When I turned it off, the language changed to French. I no longer have the option to turn it on and off though?

Can you not reload the pukka BMW firmware and start again ?

To get the speed cameras and 7 digit postcode feature, you have to use non gen modded fw.

It is def a firmware issue I recon.

The unit may also only let you upgrade to a "newer" version, so you will have to find a fw cd that is v32 but tells the unit it's higher.

As I say, not modded mine, just what I remember when I looked into it.

I'm sure if you searched on the web for something like "reload v32 mk4 BMW sat nav" you may get something .

I'll have a quick look........ 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

........I'll have a quick look........and see a differing view on whether it'll let you downgrade to a lower version number...

To find current ver........

Go to the settings screen and look at the version number in the top right. Should be 4-1/00 from memory for a MK IV with v32.

Any version that is Different to what you have loaded now, will reflash the nav

eg if you used OS CD V32, you would have loaded 4-1/100
So choose any OS CD that holds a version that is different to 4-1/100 and when you insert it, the software will load.

This should then let you reload your v32 and reset it to what you had before.

Did you buy the mk4 with that fw already loaded ?

As Stan says, matt has done quite a bit of work in this area.....

I bought the mk4 unit off a forum member. It needed a new laser which I did myself. I then used matts software and it worked fine at first. Now, I cant turn off the audible warning. Also, I think the scale has changed- I'm pretty sure I could take the range down to 75yds. It's now 125yds.
