rear brake disk red hot

Rear offside brake disk is red hot. Is this another common fault? I don't know how the electronic handbrake works could it be related?

Rear calipers binding is a very common fault - most likely this, just do a search and you should find lots of threads Thumbs Up 2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car!

And for you issue you are probably best getting a new set of rear discs and pads and a new caliper for that side. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
Mantec Sump Guard, Rigid Load liner, MY10 BT upgrade.

Rear offside disc overheating

Had mine done a couple of months ago. New caliper from Britparts at £86.22 incl postage and fitting £25 by
local garage. No need to return old caliper on this occasion.

Wales 2006 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Bonatti Grey

Have just done mine (nearside overheating). Big Cry

Was caused by the Calliper Piston being seized. Sad

Re-manufactured Callipers and pads from Dan at Duckworths (Genuine Land Rover rather than Censored part!!), fairly easy job to do, and bleeding the brakes with a Gunson's Easybleed kit was the easiest brake bleed I have ever done Very Happy

I would always change both sides, from experience on previous cars (although not FF admittedly) if you are having problems with 1 side the other is not usually far behind it so you may as well do both sides together rather than having to do the other side in a couple of months (and probably trashing another set of pads in to the bargain!)

New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Galway Green

As soon as the one went on the 06 SC, I replaced both. Haven't had an issue since. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!
