Interior Film trim - Piano Black

I have a piano black trim on mine and am just thinking it's a bit lacking. I have seen additional PB stuff with LR and on fleabay but a mate of mine does this vehicle wrapping, window tints etc...

I am going to see about getting parts of the cabin wrapped in a gloss black finish and wonder if anyone has done this to additional parts....don't panic it won't look like something from Max Power magazine but it's having some key bits done to match the dash, doors etc.

Interested to see if anyone has done theirs...

BTW - this mate is wanting to try a new type of satin/laquer wrap on the roof....question is do I let him use my car as a donor ! Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

I often wondered if anyone had used someone to colour code wrap exterior parts, eg half mirror caps/ door handles as opposed to sticking upgraded parts on over the top?

His advise was to co with paint on the door mirrors and smaller, removable parts as the wrap is harder to make look like a correct finish on so many different directions in such a small area.

the cost of mirror caps and door handles to be painted is minimal I think tbh...

I'll report back with pics but my plan is to do the cigar lighter sprung door, the side door pocket tops, the rear vertical trim - to match the dash and side trims then the flat area on the passenger side - providing checks reveal its not the outlet for the SRS.

Thanks all Thumbs Up Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

I'll be watching this topic with interest.
I have piano black, but a few parts are flaking, particularly the drivers side window / mirror console.

I did buy a sample of the vinyl wrap, but never got round to applying it

I saw something on wheeler dealers a while back that I think could be an
Even better option. It's some sort of transfer, and can be applied to anything it seems.
If it's durable enough for wheels, will be fine for interior !

I follow their Facebook page, and there is a huge range of applications in loads of Patterns & Colours
(How about the side vents, front grille, or the bonnet vent?)

No affiliation I assure you, or I would have dipped half the car by now Rolling with laughter

I think a mix of paint and wrap is the best combo having seen work and providing you can match it, I am hoping for a good outcome ! Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

I had the interior on my old Pathfinder dipped by Hydrodesigns in Stevenage, they also wrapped my E32 BMW Pictures of both as well as other examples of work on their website and Facebook page. Ask for Iain who owns and runs it was very helpful and a wide range of finishes.

I have no connection with the company other than having used them on my other vehicles.

Seeing how I get on with the wood in my FFRR but in a couple of months will look at getting it updated to some type of black trim with silver on the gear surround and around the heater controls etc.. There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t

I think the Poole company in the earlier post was the one that was on the repeat of Wheeler Dealers last night when they updated the blue and Matt black early model FFRR to a white midlife facelift There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t

Rej

Thanks for sharing that. Stevenage nearer to me than Poole !
Those photos of m5 interior in carbon look really good. Certainly better than all my chipped foundry grey. Alcohol and eBay is never a good mix
