I think with regard to advisories, a lot depends upon the mood of the tester on the day. |

My garage doesn't dish out advisories to profit from me as I do all my own work, I've been using them for MOTs for over 30 years now. Just the tester is a stickler for noting everything and letting me away with nothing, but I prefer it that way, at least I know he's being honest and the car is either fit for the road or not |

We've just had ours MOT'd and it failed on something I didnt think was part of the MOT, front headlamp washers!

not sure but believe its something to do with xenon headlights and that they must have a washer of some type ,to do with heat build up behind the muck |
