Sat Nav Downgrade

Hi All,

Very Censored ed off today as I seem to have knackered my nav computer trying to upgrade the firmware and to get rid of the BMW splash screen. Basically the it does very little now, the power light is on and the disc is spinning but that is about it. It won't eject the disc so I had to remove it by taking the top off. I have another computer that seems to work as a computer but won't read discs so I might be able to make 1 good out of the 2 bad if all else fails.

Bit of a long shot but I have read that my current issue can be fixed with a downgrade but I am having problems finding a V17 disc/burning an image. Does anyone have one kicking around?

New lesson learnt, if it isn't totally broken don't go near it.

I assume you have a BMW mk4 DVD nav unit? If so I have the discs you need Wink

PM me your details and I can send you most versions on working discs including a V32 with Range Rover splash screen rather than image files Thumbs Up

I would like them back when you are done so beer tokens just to cover the postage if that's ok?

Cheers,

It was a MK3 but upgraded to a MK4 now. Was hoping to fix the 3 and get a few quid back.

Disc eject issues can be cured by pressing and holding the eject button. You have to do it for like 2 minutes or something but it will eventually eject
