Since I love this community allready so much (but not so long) I do not want to loose any of you guys who give such a fantastical advice to all of us

So a well meant WARNING to any one who will crawl under the car to do some fixes.....NEVER EVER do this without axle stands!
As in several threads advised "just put in off road height and you can go under the car" is absolutely a No Go. As we all know we have air suspension and it is possible that such an airbag can burst at any time. Don't take that risk for just saving a few quit on axle stands. Just keep around and have fun with your FF

The supplied scissor jack can also not be trusted, one of mine once collapsed with the car on it, luckily i'd just finish doing up the wheel nuts and I wasn't under the car.  Discovery 4 HSE

Without sounding stupid, and I posted some time ago about my axle stands - where do you tend to put them ?

I got a pair strong enough to hold the Rangie, but the contact points seem to be just that - a point, and the instructions say to have the car "in the cup", but there is no "axle" on the car (obviously).........

In contrary, this is just a very clever question! On any other car it's a very good instruction to put the axle stand under the axle or as you did in your picture, under the arm. But not on a FF with air suspension! The arm (or axle) is under load of the road spring and thus holds up the car. And for the FF that's an .....air spring (which can burst or any other failure in the system leading to a prompt flat one). And if so your FF can still come down on you, despite the axle stand.

So for the FF: place your axle stand under the body where ever it can hold the car's weight: i.e. the jacking points are absolute save and also the parts of the subframes that are attached to the body (you can have a look at the pictures in the WIKI Td6 replacing front ball joints: dan_uk_1984 has placed them under the front subframe tube which is save).
The extra tip I would suggest: place a rubber strap between body and axle stands so it never can slip off.
