Just a thought for this forum. Why not have a basic membership that is limited and only allowes you to use the forum but not let you use things like for sale/wanted, small pm inbox etc. a full membership is £10 and you can post in for sale/wanted and edit your posts etc. Its like this on other forums I use and I think it's a fair way to do it

I would wonder about the liability in sales ads if you had to pay to post. I'd hate to see Stan having to drive to country to rule on whether each set of used rims for sale were in 'good' or 'fair' condition.

The forum does not become liable for what is being posted for sale, it just stops people only using the forum to sell items once they have made a few posts.

To be honest I would end up staying on the free limited version of the site if that were the case and if I had stuff to sell probably use *other means*. I already pay subscriptions to so many things I don't think another would temp me, I suspect a few others would too so the for sale section might get a fair bit smaller and forum users lose the change to bag a bargain from other forum users so to speak.
