Hey Stan

Just my opinion but go for the proper land rover steps and have heard bad reports about non OE steps, hope I haven't offended by saying this but just had to say , if I have done wrong please just delete my post !

Cheers

i dont want to pay OE prices tbh, these steps dont have to fit into the front mud flaps like the OE copies so it would be a simple bolt-on jobby. ... - .- -.

stan, I recently bought a pair of S/H original steps as I thought one of mine was damaged badly, I fitted them, and as such will be selling on the old. -as it turns out, its just the plastic trim finisher that's damaged, (the worst) and the small welded on piece of tin that holds it steady is misshaped. ie bent a little. therefore, a new trim would be about £80 and I little molegrips and hammer will straighten the black tin piece, and a coat of satin black, as it is all covered up anyway. so I will be looking to pass these steps on someday. basically, I need to respray my new ones (trims) back to brunel grey. as they have a few light scratches.... then I can release these old ones. you will need a pair of front flaps etc. I have pics. just took 2 pics to show you, but not letting me upload this morning.

thanks John but my inclination is to get some thing like these so that i dont have to take off the front lower trim to bolt the front mud flap adapter on ..

i recently brought some non OE side steps and had problems with the quality and fitting so i sent them back so my thoughts are now with the simple bolt on type ,like these as i dont like mud flaps that much ... ... - .- -.

these are pics of modbarra's l405 steps which look similar and made me think they would also look good on a l322...

no probs. I use my steps for lashing stuff on roof, and washing the beast. I'm nearly 18 tons heavy. and they hold me steady. I thought that the aftermarket ones were for putting your other welly on, while you tuck your trousers in, not for the average fatty (owner) and mudlaps are a personal thing. the front ones especially look odd, but boy, do they work! keeping an eye out for a spare grey trim strip for a nearside step now to replace damaged one.
