l322 OE SIDE STEPS NOT WORKING

Hi, Just wondered if anyone can help me with my tdv8 which has oe side steps, the LH works perfectly but the RH stops out and only moves slightly when the door opens or closes.if I press the switch the RH will still not retract,the motor seems to be working so hubby says.

no nothing stuck checked already, hubby wondered if you can adjust the mechanism linkage ?
