Exterior Black Trim cleaning

Guys

Have spent the day cleaning polishing the new car. Paintwork is glistening. Always been an Autoglym fan but tried Meguires and happy with that too.
Can anyone suggest a product to clean the Black trim? Plastic mirror backs and tailgate trim are easy with a back to black, but what do you do with the painted black window frames? Wax sends them white and back to black looks streaky?
It's the black metal frames I'm referring to?

Cheers

It's the plastic trim at the bottom of the windscreen, where the vents and wipers are, that drives me up the wall. Can't find anything that leaves a lasting finish. As for the mirrors, I am going to buy body coloured covers to sort them out.

I am thinking of taking the panel off and painting it black.

Yeah, heard about the peanut butter thing before. must be the oil in it I guess.
I worry about the amount of critters that will be attracted if I use it where I live Laughing

That GTechniq C4 stuff looks brilliant. Very expensive as hell, but I guess you get what you pay for.

Has anyone used it a while ago to see if it effects lasts as long as they claim?

I've got and have tried C4... IMO Overpriced and didn't last as last as I'd hope it too.. Or anywhere near.

Have tried AG and other usual suspects too.

Halfords - Turtle wax tyre and trim gel at ฃ7.50 bottle is the nicest smelling, easiest and quickest to use with the best and most pleasing results I've ever tried... In particular on the scuttle at the front of the RR windscreen... In fact on all the RR and any other grey/ black plastic trim. It's brilliant.

At ฃ7.50 a bottle and a just a 5 min drive to your nearest Halfords, I would try it in the hope of a quick win before trying anything else.

How did I source it? A reccomendation from Gary Elliot who swears by it Thumbs Up
