Latest quote was £450 for an oil change but I'm not sure if that includes a flush but will find out RR owner

If it helps, I've been quoted just over 500 for a full flush, as well as transfer and both diff oil changes. 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE - 'Black Betty'

A standard gearbox service inc diff and transfer box fluids cost me way less than that at an auto gear box specialist. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Not a full flush. Just what drains out and a refill + filter change as per recommended by the gearbox manufacturer.
Any automatic gearbox repair specialist will do this - it's a ZF gearbox and not a JLR gearbox. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Cost me £350 for normal service, diff and transfer box oil change - what is worth the extra £150? 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Mega flush the difference is that with a normal flush the old oil in the torque converter stays in there fresh oil is added and away you go but the old oil then mixes with the new fresh oil. It’s like changing the oil in the engine but not changing the oil filter.
The mega flush is slightly different where the new oil is pumped into the gearbox under pressure and the machine sucks the old oil out this now you have the gearbox and torque converter filled with fresh oil.
Hope this helps
Ps I had a after thought the filter in the gearbox hasn’t been changed but to do the job properly I would change the filter before Bodsy turns up then you know it’s all good 👍 😊
