However time will only tell if it is a permanent fix because, as others have posted, the noise comes back after a few hundred miles for any ARC bar changes which have been done previously. It remains to be seen if the new valve block is the answer to the problem. | ||

I shall be racking up some miles on a holiday to the West Country in the next week or so. If it comes back from that silent I shall be a happy man. The combination of no knocking and no diesel  makes for such a nice quiet drive compared to the loaner I have been knocking about in (pun intented) the last couple of days   | ||
