What is this?

Happily changing the brake pads when I saw the cone shaped filter (resting on the engine in the picture) hanging in the bottom of the engine compartment.
The top arrow points to two open unattached hoses and the bottom arrow to another where it could fit onto, on the right is a clip which looks like it could fit into too.
Does does anyone know what it is and where it belongs?
And out of interest does anything attach to those hoses?

Cheers

The filter comes into the clips, the other pipe is for air from the gearbox, also ok. TDV8 4.4 from 2012, 278.000km like new + Lancia Flavia Coupe 1964 + RRS L494 3.0 SDV6 + C220CDI Convertible 2021
