Will try subject to data. Will update on return at least. Programmed the sat nav earlier. It told me I would need fuel!

I really should try and get there one of these days it's only just over an hour's drive for me if I get the ferry over to St Malo.

The daft thing is I will be in France on Saturday and will be driving past Le Mans but sadly not stoping as I am heading down to Cannes with the wife and kids for a week

Hope you have a really good time Very Happy

First time in over a decade I'm not going to either the main race or the classic Sad Jealous.

Have a great time - I may just sign up to Eurosport for a month and sit in front of the telly for 24 hrs - few beers, turn up loud and sleep on the couch

Slightly off topic Joncey, but popping across to Jersey with the FF on the 12th July for a chilled out 5 night summer break. Any must see attractions on this wonderful Island? Staying at the Windmills Hotel, St Brelades Bay.

Cheers,

Did Le Mans in 2005 with the Volvo XC90 pulling our 550 single axle caravan, stayed on Houx right inside the track, fantastic weekend but came home knackered as you'd expect.

This year it's Monza F1 weekend then down to Misano for MotoGP the following weekend, reckon the drive there and back is going to be sooooo much better in the FFRR Very Happy

As. I feared data was hard to come by so updating not very practical..

Trip down was more or less event free with the range rover handing over some rather natty Tmc diversions. Made me sweat a little on occasions. Disappointed by the pub with caravan pitch near the tunnel as we were a little late and even. One pint was out of the question....

Easy drive through France, and superb weekend with a good race, I will add some pictures in the next few days.

Back in one 11 hour hit, with a broken fog light, and 18 mpg average....

Very positive reactions down there to the range rover.

We had a great weekend too, though absolutely cream crackered when we got back, we were on Houx again this year which is great if loud, mostly thanks to a group of Dutch with a PA system.

We have now perfected camp with 9m x 3m gazebo! Would be to much of a chicken to take my tin tent for fear of denting it too much, there isnt much room for manoeuvre on houx to get onto pitch, and im not sure it would survive 8 blokes and beer!

We find people love the rangies too, i was in the disco with all the kit this year but richtdv8 was there in his 4.4 tdv8 ab, and we had many positive comments. To be honest there is loads more expensive metal on the site so you dont feel like a poseur driving it round! Loads of astons, audis, a couple of 405's and a mobile council library converted into a camper! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
